Bio

Dr. Joel Campbell is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon practicing in Lubbock, TX, specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, and elbow. He received advanced training in complex shoulder reconstruction, knee preservation, cartilage restoration, ligament reconstruction, and the latest in therapeutic biologics during his fellowship at the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Greenville, SC. During this time he was fortunate to work with professional athletes while covering the Colorado Rockies during spring training and the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox affiliate) in addition to covering several college and high school teams.

He has a special interest in shoulder arthroplasty/replacement but enjoys treating all patients with ailments of the shoulder, knee, and elbow.

Dr. Campbell grew up in a small farming community in central Illinois and developed a love for sports and physical fitness at a young age. When not engaged in football, basketball, baseball or weightlifting during high school he enjoyed working various construction and farming jobs, creating a personal appreciation of physical health’s role in work and recreation.
