Bio

Dr. Mangold has been in practice since 1978 and still loves taking care of his surgical patients. He was in the first graduating class of Texas Tech School of Medicine in 1974 and obtained his surgical training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Mangold then returned to practice in Lubbock, Texas and has been here ever since. He does a broad spectrum of general surgery. His interests are in breast and robotic surgery having recently completed 1000 robotic cases. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and remains certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Mangold has 3 children and 3 grand children who are his primary sources of joy outside of his surgical practice. He has always been an avid runner and has completed 9 marathons and multiple other races and triathlons. He also enjoys attending sporting events and snow skiing.
