Bio

Dr. Islam was trained locally receiving his Medical Degree and Internal Medicine residency from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He received additional training at the Mayo Clinic in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Also, he has been recognized as a Fellow of Gastroenterology by the American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

This highly accredited training coupled with his academic and work experience as a Gastroenterologist separate him from other physicians in the Lubbock, TX area. In addition, Dr. Islam has been recognized with multiple awards and distinctions for his work as a University Professor and Gastroenterologist. Dr. Islam enjoys spending time with his family, cross fit, and traveling.
